The Birmingham branch dojo organises seminars each year, acting as host for Shihan Mead to come and visit the Midlands.  Usually held over a two-day period, these courses include the renowned "Inner Circle" sessions [attendance is by invitation only], which are specifically for the more advanced students studying the system, and also the Open Courses, which are made available to all serious martial artists. Shihan Mead is renowned Worldwide as one of the foremost exponents of Ryukyu Kobujutsu and  there is much demand for his tuition skills at seminars all over the world. Consequently, the Ryukyu Kobujutsu Association offers one and two day training courses in Ryukyu Kobujutsu with events being held throughout the UK each month with additional courses in Europe, the United States and Russia.

From beginners to senior students these courses offer a structure in both weapon evolution and grading, providing the link for all serious practitioners between open hands and weapons. They are open to all serious martial artists whether newcomers to weapons or experienced students wishing to develop their skills.

It is also possible to arrange for Sensei Snewin to teach Kobujutsu at your club or school. For those who are interested in a course in Kobujutsu, enquiries should in the first instance be directed to the Ryukyu Kobujutsu Association of Great Britain who will arrange the course and agree fees etc. Due to the demand for tuition in Kobujutsu, both Shihan Mead and Sensei Snewin generate very busy teaching schedules and need to be booked some time in advance.
